Trip Modification/Extension: A Guide for Hosts
As a host on our car-sharing platform, you play a crucial role in providing a seamless experience for your guests. One important aspect of this experience is accommodating trip modifications and extensions when necessary. This guide will help you understand how trip modification and extension work from a host's perspective.
➤ Trip Modification: This occurs when a guest requests changes to their trip before picking up the car. They can edit both the pickup and drop-off date/time.
➤ Trip Extension: If a guest wants to modify their trip after they've already picked up the car, and the trip is currently ongoing, it's termed as a trip extension. In this case, they can only edit the drop-off date/time.
✔ Important: Host Approval - It's essential to know that all trip modification and extension requests require your approval. They are not automatically accepted, regardless of whether your cars are listed as Instant or Non-Instant.
