Trip Price Structure
A trip’s total cost is made up of these elements:
Trip Price: This is a vehicle’s listed rate multiplied by the trip length. Each host sets their own standard daily rate.
Trip Fee: Drive mate applies a flat trip fee of $12/day.
Processing Fee: a 2.5% processing fee is charged to cover for payment provider costs.
For a listing which has a daily price of $72 per day; the breakup of the trip cost would be as follows:
Daily Trip Price: $72
Daily Trip Fee: $12
Processing fees (2.5%): $2.10
Total: $86.10
Overall, total trip cost is generally 30-40% cheaper compared to traditional rental companies.
